Softjerks - when moved through the water with light strokes, the soft jerk imitates a fleeing or injured fish to perfection. Sometimes it shoots to the left, then to the right, and in the pauses it sinks towards the bottom, tipping provocatively. Rubber baits with pintails , V-tails or slugs are particularly suitable for jerking. Mounted on an offset hook , they glide easily through all kinds of obstacles. But of course they also turn the heads of perch and pike in open water.
