The Shimano Sahara RD is a mid-priced reel. It has a classy look and runs very smoothly. As usual, it offers the high Shimano quality. The Sahara is available with a single or double crank and has Fightin' Drag technology. It is versatile and impresses with its performance.

The Sahara is ideal for many types of fishing, such as match, feeder and spin fishing. The Fightin' Drag function allows the braking force to be quickly adjusted.
The Sahara has 3 stainless steel ball bearings and a roller bearing. The rear drag ensures consistent braking performance. The Fightin' Drag allows for quick fine-tuning of the braking force. It has an aluminum spool in AR-C design that is suitable for mono and braided line.
Variospeed ensures that thin lines do not get caught even under pressure. The Sahara is available in sizes from 1000 to 4000, also as a 3000 high-speed model with a gear ratio of 6.2:1 for match anglers.
